How to Upgrade Items in Pokemon GO
The Upgrade is one the most important features in Pokemon GO. It gives trainers the opportunity to evolve Porygon2 into Porygon and advance in their Pokedex.
While it is rare, players can locate it by spinning the photo disc at a Pokestop, or as a reward for special events. But what does this item actually do?
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons or gathering tools to provide them with an attribute bonus. They are a vital component in the crafting process and can be found through salvaging or purchased from vendors. They can also be found in the form of drops, either from enemies or from item spheres. They can be used to upgrade weapons or armor with an upgrade slot.
Utilizing upgrade components to maximize the amount of experience gained from upgrading gear and weapons is crucial to achieve the highest level of progress in the game. Incorporating organic components into an upgraded item will increase the item's experience multiplier, while mechanical components will decrease it. The best combination is a high experience-multiplier organic component followed by a low-experience-multiplier mechanical component. This will increase your experience gain and allow you to progress to the next level of equipment or weapon more accessible.
The upgrade process is complicated, and it's important to understand how it operates so that you can maximize the benefits of your upgrades. The system keeps a running total of the item that you are upgrading. Each component has either a positive or negative multiplier, and once the total reaches certain thresholds then it's reset to zero.
Additionally the amount of time gained from each upgrade component is influenced by the hidden rank of the item that is upgraded and its multiplier of experience. This means that the higher-ranked items are more difficult to upgrade, whereas less ranked items are easier to upgrade.
When a new hardware upgrade is installed, it's important to carefully remove all existing connections and fasteners holding the old component in place. Keep them in the parts tray for quick identification and safe-keeping. Reconnect all cables and wires, and connect the power supply. Test the computer by turning it on. If everything is connected correctly the computer will start normally. This is an essential step to ensure that the new hardware will be compatible with your current system.
Glyphs
Glyphs are an excellent tool to make your gear better, but you have to be able to utilize them properly. Each glyph can be used to enhance an existing substatus and the higher the rank of a Glyph the more powerful it becomes. You can only upgrade a glyph only once, so make sure you make sure you choose carefully. Glyphs are also only available once which means they are gone when you use them on an artifact or item.
The most useful glyphs are those which increase your chances to roll an affix of the desired type or tier. They are usually found on the most expensive armor, weapons and other accessories. They are also available on the Paragon Board. They are worth the effort, but it can be difficult to find.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Chests, or purchased from the Trading Post. Some glyphs are only available for one-time use and others are permanent. They are excellent for items that need to be rerolled often. The Glyph of Hope, for instance, lets you increase the probability of acquiring a specific symbol when you are enchanting items.
Some glyphs are also used to modify existing affixes. This is typically seen on gloves, boots and belts, all is capable of holding four different affixes. The Glyph of Insight for example transforms a prefix into an experimental affix. This is a great tool to have if want to maximize the damage output or want to be sure that you'll receive a top-quality affix for a particular slot.
After you reach the age of 50, the game shifts drastically. You'll no longer be able to rely on the campaign. Instead, you will have to navigate the Paragon Board, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds in order to maximize your game.
The best glyphs will be ones that are compatible with your character's class, like the Exploit Glyph, which increases damage to enemies who are vulnerable. Control Glyph is another good glyph that can increase damage against enemies that are stunned, frozen or slow. Each glyph has a radius, and the radius grows as you upgrade the glyph. This makes glyphs the best method to upgrade your gear in the final game.
Reroll tokens
A reroll token is an upgrade item that allows players to alter one of the attributes of an item. This can be done through the item window by selecting an item and pressing a green button with the arrows that circle. The cost of a reroll is determined by the rarity of the item.
Reroll tokens can be found in the Mystery Box or as rare drops from skulled monsters. They can also be bought from the Trader. They can also be obtained through Event Items and can be obtained from other players. They are used to reroll rings, armors, and weapons in increments of 2. Each reroll token gives players a chance to roll for a new attribute, which can be either higher or lower than the previous one.
The token for rerolling is not just used to upgrade rerolls, but can also be used to recycle items. Recycling an item gives players a certain number of points that will add to the level gauge for the item, depending on its popularity. This is a great way to dispose of old, unneeded equipment that hasn't been upgraded.
The reroll token can also be used to offer new weapon characteristics. The player is able to accept or decline these traits. The player is able to offer up to six items at a time, and the options increase as the item's rarity and level rises. This option is available through the Upgrade tab of the forge.
Reroll tokens can also be used to roll the set bonus of an item that is triggered when three or more items from the same set are placed on an item. The set bonus can only be applied to units belonging to the same class. It is not applicable to other classes.
Other upgrade items, such as recipes, can be rerolled. These items aren't available in the shops or through Rerolls, but rather are transferred to the Non Droppable Pool whenever players select a Food Card that requires new ingredients or equipment. The reroll token can be used to reroll the extra bonuses, however the base stats (including all upgrades), and level will remain the same.
Leveling
In the game, players can improve their equipment with an item upgrade item. They can be created by gathering the required ingredients from the item upgrader NPCs found in major cities. When an item is upgraded, it will receive an increase in its base stats. Certain affixes can be rerolled. This could give an increase in the value of an item's ilvl.
If an item is upgraded, it will have an icon of blue in its top-left corner. The item will also display a number below its maximum level. A greater number of upgrades will increase the item's max level. The player can upgrade an item as many times as they want. This will allow them to hit breakpoints on gears which will increase the chances of rerolling certain affixes.

The item upgrading feature lets players upgrade the level and quality of their helmets, weapons and armor. The process involves the purchase of items which are then exchanged by the upgrader NPC for currency. The upgrader will show an image of the item's new level and accept either Happy Tickets or Happy Stars to complete the upgrade. The item used as materials will be lost, but the upgraded item will be able to keep its Item EXP for further upgrades.
While there is no guaranteed method to get an upgrade however, it has a very low chance of dropping when spinning Pokestops or Gyms. Players can use an upgrade to transform a Porygon into an Porygon2 and consume the item.
The Upgrade is a special evolution item from the Pokemon series, introduced in Generation II. Silph Co. produces a transparent device that holds all kinds of data. It is a tool to develop specific Pokemon species and can be activated by trading a Link Cable. It is a rare item with an 1% drop rate per spin at Pokestops and Gyms.
